"Dear Ms. Murtaugh, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent phone call with you regarding my insurance. Unfortunately, I found the interaction to be dismissive and unaccommodating. I contacted you hoping to receive clear guidance and professional support regarding my policy. Instead, I left the conversation feeling disregarded. Customer service and professionalism are important, especially when individuals are seeking assistance navigating complex insurance policies. As a result of this experience, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I believe it’s important this feedback is documented. And I sincerely hope future customers receive the patience and professionalism that I did not. "Ms. Lee, I am sorry to hear that you left our conversation feeling disappointed and that you felt your concerns were not addressed. While I respect your perspective, I do want to provide some context regarding our interaction.
When you contacted our office regarding the status of your auto insurance coverage and the MVA request, I explained what I could see at that time and asked for a few minutes to review your account more thoroughly before providing you with a definitive answer. I researched the matter and promptly called you back to explain what had occurred and what information I was able to provide.
I understand that the answer I provided was not the outcome you had hoped for. However, as an insurance professional, I have a responsibility to provide accurate information regarding a customer's coverage and to respond accurately to requests from the State. While those conversations can sometimes be difficult, I take that responsibility seriously.
I was disappointed to learn that you felt I was dismissive, as that was certainly not my intention. Our office takes pride in being responsive, professional, and willing to take the time necessary to help our customers understand their insurance.
I also appreciate your kind words about Ann and the service she has provided you. She is a valued member of our team, and I am glad she made such a positive impression during the many years you were with our office.

"I highly recommend State Farm, Stephanie Murtagh and her right hand Anne in Ellicott City, Maryland for all your insurance needs! They are responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. State Farm jumped in immediately to cover my HVAC/HWH (among other things) which were destroyed by water due to a frozen sprinkler pipe this past holiday season. The board of directors and the condominium master insurance policy were not getting back to me. Had it not been for State Farms swift actions more pipes would have frozen and units below ours would have been more severely affected. My family and I have had home and auto insurance with them for decades and have never had to worry about support and prompt coverage, thank you!."
